Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is for students in Grades 4 – 8. Led by Pamela Carey, our Music Director, this group rehearses once per week during the school day. These students will develop vocal technique, work on ear training and sight singing. Students learn to sing both independently and with others with an emphasis on pitch, rhythm, appropriate timbre, diction, and posture while maintaining a steady tempo. Among numerous opportunities to perform, students are encouraged to sing for Sunday Liturgy twice a month, plus at masses for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Angels Choir
The Angels Choir is for Primary Kindergarten – Grade 3 students. This group practices once per week after school and is led by Sr. Delores. These 4-10 year olds sing once a month at a 9:00 am mass. In both groups, students are taught vocal technique. They work on ear training and sight singing, with an emphasis on pitch, rhythm, timbre, diction, and posture. Choristers learn to sing independently, as well as blend their voices.
