At Saint Hilary School we believe in the benefit of learning in small groups for Math, Science,
Reading, Art, and Technology. A community of teachers, assistants, specialists and administrators
provides a small teacher/student ratio, which allows for dedicated attention throughout the day.

More than one third of our talented staff has Masters Degrees, and all of our core curriculum teachers are accredited.
Through a generous Fund-a-Need program, our teachers actively participate in ongoing professional development.

As we aim to instill in each student a lifelong love of learning, student success is measured beyond test scores. With
the curriculum focused on this larger goal, our students participate in Iowa Test of Basic Skills exams beginning in
Grade 2 through Grade 8. Teachers use test scores to evaluate their student’s strengths, and adjust the curriculum as
necessary to ensure personalized instruction. Results are shared with parents at first quarter conferences in November.

Working to ensure full success within each student’s capabilities, we are able to facilitate support services and modify
curriculum as necessary. A full-time Reading Specialist is part of the resource staff available to students and their
families. We are also able to coordinate and host the services of an Education Therapist for private, one-on-one
occupational care, as well as a family counselor who is available weekly.

Saint Hilary School is accredited by both the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA) and the Western
Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We have always received the highest term of accreditation.

Saint Hilary
School students test well above the national average in all areas. Graduating classes consistently rank in the top 10%
nationally in math and science.
