STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Academic
Decathlon/Athletes Competition - Students in the sixth, seventh
and eighth grades have an opportunity to participate in these
programs.
Homework
Club - Time is set aside in the afternoon for students to work
on homework. The staff will oversee the
Homework Club but
cannot take responsibility for completion of homework assignments,
nor provide tutoring.
Computer
Club - St. Hilary students who participate in the Computer Club
learn and explore technology through many
mediums. Students
explore the World Wide Web learning html and java scripting.
They are given the opportunity to discover the newest and la
test hardware
and software advancements in technology. During the year students
will travel to local businesses to see how technology is used
in today's workforce.
School
Choir - The Saint Hilary
School Choir is open to students in grades three through eight.
Students will rehearse once a week during the school day. These
students will develop vocal technique, work on ear training and
sight singing. Students learn to sing both independently and with
others with an emphasis on pitch, rhythm, appropriate timbre,
diction, and posture while maintaining a steady tempo. Students are
encouraged to act as cantors or choir members for worship services.
Students will have many performance opportunities throughout the
year at school, parish and civic events.
Spanish
Club - Primary and Kindergarten students are meeting once a
week after school to play games, sing songs, dance, make cultural
projects and participate in a variety of activities. For more

Council - Composed of ten elected officers from middle school
grades, attend a summer
leadership
camp, lead weekly all school assemblies, plan Spirit
Days and dances, lead the student body in many fundraising
and community
building activities. |
