GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
Any player or a player's parent may file a grievance raising an
issue concerning the player's participation in a CYO activity.
All grievances must be filed in accordance with this procedure.
First
Level Grievance
A grievance must
first be raised with the coach of the team to which the player is
assigned. First Level grievancees may be made orally or in writing.
Second
Level Grievance
If a grievance
is not satisfactorily resolved with the team coach, a grievance
may then be filed with the Director of St. Hilary's CYO.
The Director may resolve the issue or refer the matter to
the Board of Directors of St. Hilary's CYO for consideration.
In any
instance in which a grievance has not been first raised with
the team coach, the Director may refer the grievance back
to the team coach for consideration. A First Level grievance
may be excused only when the Director determines that exceptional
circumstances exist that render a First Level grievance inappropriate.

Level Grievances should be made in writing and mailed to:

Third
Level Grievance
In
the event a Second Level grievance is not satisfactorily
resolved by the Director, a grievance may be filed with
the Board of Directors of St. Hilary CYO. The Board may
resolve issues brought to it by the player, a player's
parent, or by the Director of St. Hilary's CYO. Decisions
by the Board are final.
Third
Level Grievances must be made in writing and mailed
